It's over.....

Obama wins.  Give it year people, and see if if King Obama really fixes everything.  Of course, you'll be too snowed to see that he hasn't.  No one president can fix all the problems in this world.  I bet gas is still over $2.00 a gallon, I bet people are still losing their homes, I bet we will still be in Iraq.  He is not the cure for what ails us.  I am very afraid for what is going to happen.  We have elected a motivational speaker, not a leader.

I'm afraid you nailed it on the head with that statement...

Dang, Susan. When did you get so conservative? All I know is science, among many other things, would continue to be frightfully underfunded.

...and how about the social issues of our time. I would of guessed you'd be more progressive.

Kelly, don't believe the government needs to determine my social life. Education is constantly short changed no matter who is running the show.

Furthermore, not caring for Obama doesn't make me ultra conservative. I just don't have faith in him and I don't believe any president can do as much as the public believes HE can do.

That isn't cynicism is it?

Maybe this country needs a dose of motivation. Maybe it's that I want things to be better. Sure, believing that they will maybe be naiveté, but it's better that running a long the same path, making the same old moves then having to throw your up your hands in defeat and frustration.

But your comment that you don't need government a that determines your social life is interesting. Isn't that exactly the politics the one is supporting with a conservative vote? Or was it the old "lesser of two evils" vote? Damn, Palin was trying to put us back 200 years in evolutionary biology.

I'm not saying that these are your views, frankly, I don't know your views, but I do know that these are the views of a strong sect of the conservative party. A sect that any national republican candidate must bow too.

Maybe it's sitting down at the bottom of the world and seeing changes that would of been unthinkable just 20 years ago--I see that there are consequences to business as usual.

On a brighter note. Have a happy thanksgiving. I wish you and the family well.

Not really. And did I actually indicate WHO I voted for? I just believe that while change is warrented, no one can live up to the burden we have placed on one man. He talks a good game, but it takes more than talk to change. And, I further believe that many problems have been created because of too many regulations of the wrong kind, and not enough common sense. Have you read any of my other posts over the past year? There are many consequences to business. I hope that the world soon realizes the effect of their excesses and actions. I do believe many changes are natural, and I also believe that man acclerated nature's course. Greed has done much damage, politically, socially and physically.
